Your birthday is used in your browser to work out one thing: whether you are under 14, the age limit this service applies. The date itself is not sent to us or stored.
We store that answer (under or over the limit) and your birth year. If you are a player, everyone in your club can see your birth year, and your club’s owners and coaches use it to check which squads you may play in.
If you are under 14, a parent or guardian has to agree before you join a club. Until they do, you cannot see the club’s plays and you are not on its member list.
Gender is optional. You can leave it blank and change it later on your Account page.
If you give it, it is stored as male or female on your profile. It is used to check which squads you may play in (boys’ squads and girls’ squads), and your club’s owners and coaches can see it in your roster entry. Other clubs and other players cannot.
